About Us
Sunshine Learning Center opened its doors in August of 2003. The center licenses for 78 children in 6 classrooms. We serve children from 6 weeks to 9 years of age.We have created an environment where the children learn through play, hands-on activities, and discovery. We use the natural curiosity, creativity and imagination of each child, putting it to work for problem solving, investigating and making discoveries. We have created a developmentally appropriate environment for each age group by arranging materials and activities that encourage choices.
We place a strong emphasis on nature, providing the children with experiences in caring for and learning about plants and animals. Our hope is that this positive interaction with nature at a young age will help to build compassion and respect for the world around them.
Our mission:
To provide a safe, nurturing environment where caring, professional adults treat each child with respect for uniqueness of interests, needs and abilities.
