About UsSunshine Learning Center opened its doors in August of 2003. The center licenses for 78 children in 6 classrooms. We serve children from 6 weeks to 9 years of age.
We have created an environment where the children learn through play, hands-on activities, and discovery. We use the natural curiosity, creativity and imagination of each child, putting it to work for problem solving, investigating and making discoveries. We have created a developmentally appropriate environment for each age group by arranging materials and activities that encourage choices.
We place a strong emphasis on nature, providing the children with experiences in caring for and learning about plants and animals. Our hope is that this positive interaction with nature at a young age will help to build compassion and respect for the world around them.
To provide a safe, nurturing environment where caring professional adults treat each child with respect for uniqueness of interests, needs and abilities.
4K TeacherI hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UW-River Falls and have also obtained certificates of Infant and Toddler Care and Early Childhood II. I have been with Sunshine Learning Center since August of 2005 and have over 25 years of early childhood teaching experience.
Preschool TeacherI studied Early Childhood Education at CVTC in Eau Claire. I love working with children because I love watching how as they grow they discover the world around them in their own special way. When I was 12 I started babysitting for my neighbor which gave me the love I have for children. Aside from working with children my hobbies include riding one of my three horses, kayaking, clay target practice, camping, and scrap-booking. I also have a border collie.
Preschool TeacherI started at Sunshine Learning Center in August of 2014. I received my associate's degree in Early Childhood Education at Chippewa Valley Technical College in the summer of 2016. I enjoy spending time with my family, helping on the farm, reading books, singing and listening to music, and spending time outdoors.
